Frequently asked questions
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes! Hypnosis is a natural state, that we all go in and out of throughout the day. No one has ever been harmed by simply going into hypnosis.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Just about anyone can be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we go into spontaneously throughout the day, like when we daydream. As long as you are able to focus and follow directions you will be able to go into a nice level of hypnosis.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No. No one has ever been stuck in hypnosis.
Can the hypnotherapist make me do something I don't want to do?
No. You are always in control. Your mind has a protective mechanism and if something is suggested to you that you don't like you will simply reject the suggestion or emerge yourself from hypnosis.
Will I remember the session?
Yes. You are always aware of what is happening during the session.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis feels different for everyone. In general most people feel very relaxed. Some clients report a feeling of heaviness and some of lightness. Some clients say they feel warm and others say they feel like they are floating. You are still in control during hypnosis and can talk and move if you wish.
Is hypnosis a truth serum?
No. Hypnotists can't make you say anything you don't want to say.
